Judith Ren-Lay is a multi-discipline artist with roots in dance & choreography. Since 1978 her work in performance, music, poetry, photography, collage, drawing, video as well as costume and set design for her signature solo pieces, has been part of New York City's art world, and is archived at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center in both their dance and music collections.

After recent years recovering from a run-in with a speeding cab, she returned to performing with CRONE OF THORNS November 24th, 2019 at Pangea NYC. This latest endeavor, The Crone Series, resumes at Pangea on May 17th 2020 with AS THE CRONE FLIES. Now deep into her 8th decade she embraces her inner crone.
Keeping a journal since 1975 she continues to write. She read her recovery piece CANARY IN A COAL MINE at the 6th Street Garden NYC in September of 2018 and has completed 3 manuscripts: ACCIDENTAL GRIT about her experience with trauma, accident and disability from 2011-2018, THROUGH A WRY KALEIDOSCOPE, a collage of journal entries (2001-2009) and CATTAIL CAKE an 86 page book of a lifetime of poetry.
