REFLECTING THE MOMENT

Emma said "Dormant Factory Does Christmas" as we gathered greens she had gleaned from the local seasonal tree lot into garlands to deck the halls of 42 Grand. The smell of pine filled the place and a scent memory of decades turned my thoughts to what is possible and beautiful.

I told her I just needed to "reflect the moment." That seems to be my one remaining creative impulse. Somehow each day asks me to observe and reflect, even as the miscreants in charge of our government offer little hopeful news to observe and begs a reflection of horror. Still I try to stay informed about basic transgressions and place my waning life into the mêlée.Hoping you and yours are finding your way this Christmas. If you are in New York, let me know if there is a chance for a visit. I miss regular conversations with peers and value the hope of new information lifting our voices and easing our broken spirits.Just remember you are a champion and can overcome challenging  diversity in spite of dark  undertow.May you be uplifted.
